ABOUT CHOKEMISSION BJJ
CHOKEMISSION Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an affiliate school of RCA Rebellion Martial arts and the Ricardo Cavalcanti International Jiu Jitsu Association. CHOKEMISSION is Duncan’s premier destination for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, continuing instruction in the same facility that has served the community for years under RCA Rebellion Martial Arts.
Built on a strong foundation of technical excellence, discipline, and community, CHOKEMISSION carries forward a tradition of authentic martial arts instruction while establishing its own identity and leadership in Southwest Oklahoma.

Our coaches are part of the Master Ricardo Cavalcanti lineage and have trained extensively under Professor Jeanelle Hebert and Professor Tony Hebert of Rebellion Martial Arts. As an affiliate academy of Rebellion Martial Arts and a proud member of the Ricardo Cavalcanti Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association, CHOKEMISSION provides students access to proven training methods, high-level curriculum, and a respected international lineage.

Our Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Program focuses on building confidence, coordination, discipline, and respect while teaching age-appropriate grappling skills in a structured and encouraging atmosphere. Students develop teamwork, perseverance, and healthy habits that benefit them both on and off the mats.

THE TRAINING LINEAGE OF CHOKEMISSION
MASTER RICARDO CAVALCANTI
Master Ricardo Cavalcanti is a 6th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and a Judo Black Belt. Master Cavalcanti is one of the most respected representatives of the Carlson Gracie lineage in the world.
A direct student of the legendary Master Carlson Gracie, Sr., Master Cavalcanti developed his skills during the golden era of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Brazil, training alongside many of the pioneers who helped shape the art into the global discipline it is today. His foundation was built on the Carlson Gracie, Sr. philosophy of strong fundamentals, pressure-based control, and efficient, battle-tested techniques - principles he continues to emphasize in his teaching.

Over the course of his career, Master Cavalcanti has earned an international reputation as both a high-level competitor and an exceptional instructor. He has produced numerous champions and black belts while mentoring academy owners and instructors across multiple continents. Known for his technical precision, structured curriculum, and ability to adapt techniques for practitioners of all sizes and experience levels, he has dedicated decades to the growth and preservation of authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

As the founder and leader of the Ricardo Cavalcanti Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association, Master Cavalcanti continues to promote the Carlson Gracie legacy while building a global network of affiliated academies committed to excellence, respect, and real-world effectiveness. His influence extends far beyond competition, shaping generations of martial artists, instructors, and leaders within the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community worldwide.

PROFESSOR JEANELLE HEBERT
Jeanelle began her career in martial arts at the age of 18 when she was first introduced to Aikido during her freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma. Ever since, and for over 25 years, Jeanelle has pursued the study and practice of martial arts and has achieved the rank of Black Belt in Aikido, Hapkido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (1st Degree), as well as Master Instructor in Valencia Lameco Escrima, and Master Instructor in Krav Maga. She is also a long time student of traditional boxing.
​
Outside of training, Jeanelle is also a Certified Peace Officer working for the State of Oklahoma and currently serves as the Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor for the State Police Academy (CLEET). During her tenure in this position, Jeanelle has revamped and modernized the entire Defensive Tactics / Custody & Control curriculum and trained thousands of officers in defensive tactics.

The National Martial Arts Hall of Fame has recognized Jeanelle for her contributions to the martial arts world by inducting her four seperate times into their Hall of Fame.
​
Jeanelle draws on her extensive training, real-world experience, and professional teaching experience to offer Rebellion students superb, effective training.

PROFESSOR TONY HEBERT
Professor Tony Hebert is a seasoned martial artist, law enforcement professional, an Oklahoma State Certified Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Instructor, and self-defense instructor with decades of real-world experience and application of martial arts.
Tony holds the rank of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Master Ricardo Cavalcanti as well as the rank of Black Belt in Hapkido under Professor Jeanelle Hebert.
Tony has trained extensively across multiple disciplines including Krav Maga, boxing, and Filipino Martial Arts, with a focus on practical application and personal protection.
​
Tony served for many years as a full-time law enforcement officer and was the Lead Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Oklahoma State Police Academy (CLEET), where he trained cadets in custody, control, and use-of-force decision making. He continues to hold a reserve commission and remains active in training law enforcement personnel.
His expertise has been recognized nationally with induction into the National Martial Arts Hall of Fame in both 2020 and 2025.

YOUR CHOKEMISSION BJJ COACHES
PROFESSOR CHRISTY LUDWICK
Christy has been a competitive person from a very young age, playing many sports growing up. She started her martial arts journey in her late 20s. After earning a Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting, her job transferred her to Texas where she continued martial arts in American Tae Kwondo earning her black belt in July 2010.
Her Jiu Jitsu focus, and journey started in March 2012 where she almost immediately began competing at IBJJF, AGF, 5 Grappling, NAGA, and smaller local tournaments. She earned Purple belt in April 2015.
​
In 2016, she started focusing on a new career path. Training was less often, but she continued teaching kids BJJ out of her garage as she started back to school. In 2017, her family decided to move back home to Duncan, OK where there was no Jiu Jitsu at that time.
​
RCA Rebellion Martial Arts came to town and she was excited to get back to Jiu Jitsu. Christy earned her brown belt in January 2023 and Black belt in October 2025.

COACH JARON NIX
Jaron was a multi sport athlete most his life. He first stepped into martial arts in college, training MMA in Tulsa, Oklahoma under UFC legend Mikey Burnett.
Jaron also works as an audio engineer. He’s recorded, produced and mixed music for bands all over the U.S.A as well as mixed and mastered television shows and podcasts amassing millions of views.
Jaron started his traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training in 2021 under the Ricardo Cavalcanti lineage at Rebellion Martial Arts. He’s found a calling in teaching children and adults. Jaron loves to see his students progress and achieve more than they thought possible. He believes heavily in the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Pressure, control, and time tested submissions.
Jaron was promoted to Purple Belt in October of 2025.

COACH NATE HATT
Nate started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in 2023. He quickly fell in love with the art. It helped him grow mentally and physically in ways he didn’t expect.
He’s a fierce competitor with a guard that is rarely passed in competition. Nate is grateful to continue his journey learning, teaching, leading, and sharing the art he's come to love.
He’s trained striking for almost two years, mostly boxing with a mix of MMA and Muay Thai. As much as he loves striking arts, Jiu Jitsu remains his primary discipline.
Nate currently holds the rank of 3 stripe Blue Belt.

COACH KEENAN MCMULLEN
Keenan McMullen has been driven by competition and athletic performance since childhood, growing up near Rush Springs, Oklahoma, where he played both football and baseball. He began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2022 after a friend invited him to train. Keenan was immediately hooked.
Keenan quickly immersed himself in the art, stepping into competition early in his training and continuing to test himself regularly on the mats.
As his oldest son began training, Keenan started assisting with the kids program, where his leadership, patience, and enthusiasm quickly made him a valuable part of the academy. After earning his blue belt in September 2024, he became a foundational contributor to both the youth and adult programs.
Known for combining strength, pressure, and technical detail, Keenan has developed a well-rounded game that has earned him multiple competition medals.

Keenan has been married for 14 years and is the proud father of two boys, both of whom train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside him, making martial arts a true family lifestyle.

COACH COTY SHORES
Coty Shores developed a passion for martial arts at a young age, beginning his training in boxing and Taekwondo as a sixth grader. He continued boxing through college and, at 19, began training in Muay Thai at USA Stars. During that time, he also expanded his skill set by studying Wing Chun, Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu.
​
After returning to Duncan to open his dental practice, Coty continued pursuing martial arts alongside his two children. He currently holds a Brown Belt in Bushido Kai and has extensive training in Sayoc Kali, a highly respected blade system. He has also trained in Krav Maga and regularly attends seminars in Muay Thai, Sayoc Kali, pistol, and carbine to continually sharpen his skills.
​
Coty brings a lifelong student mindset to the gym. His coaching style blends traditional discipline with modern training principles, creating an environment where beginners feel welcome and competitors are challenged to reach their full potential. His goal is to build not only skilled martial artists, but confident, disciplined individuals both on and off the mats.

He and his wife, Chelsea, have been married since 2009 and are proud parents of two children.
